His full name is Mohd Najib bin Tun Hj Abdul Razak. He was the son of Malaysia's second Prime Minister, late Tun Hj Abdul Razak. Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Hj Abdul Razak was born on July 23rd 1953 in Kuala Lipis, Pahang. He was educated at St. John's Institution in Kuala Lumpur during his primary school while continued his secondary education at Malvern Boy's College in Worcestershire, England. Upon completion his secondary education, he enrolled at the University of Nottingham and graduated in 1974 in industrial economics. In 1974, Dato' Sri Mohd Najib returning to Malaysia and entered the corporate world serving briefly in Bank Negara (Central Bank). Later, he join with PETRONAS (the national petroleum corporation) as Public Affairs Manager. His father was timely passing on January 14th 1976 at the age of 54 and suddenly thrust Dato' Sri Najib into spotlight. He was born in political life and after five weeks after his father's passing, at the age of 22, Dato' Sri Mohd Najib was elected to fill the Pekan vacancy and becoming the youngest Member of Parliament in Malaysia's history.
